Speak Your Wants Into Existence.

I attended a book club with my cousin on a Tuesday night in Atlanta, and it changed my life forever. It confirmed to myself that I’m not crazy and that there are other people out there like me-not knowing what’s to come but still chasing their dreams and putting in major work. The book that was being discussed was The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. I haven’t started it yet, but I would highly recommend it. What I learned about the book when I was at book club was that it talks about overall fulfillment by implementing different techniques to go by to achieve what it is you ultimately want. (Go cop the book, because so I’ve been told it’s an insightful read). The mind is always racing, so sometimes you need to learn how and when to shut off your thoughts. Start writing down in present tense what you want in your life and it will be yours. But first, you must act on it. Don’t just say I’m going to lose 10 pounds, and eat a Swiss roll after you work out. (I’m not saying you can’t have a cheat day, because we all do ;) ) just don’t be tempted to go back to old ways/bad habits- you want to see the results. Do you want a new job? Start applying for others that interest you. Been talking about that business for months? Do the research. Attend networking events, market yourself to the best of your ability; really go the extra mile to see your fruit come into harvest. Maybe you want to go back to school? Start applying to colleges whether it’s a community college, four year for your bachelors, two-year program for your masters, Ph.D or Doctorate. It’s never too late. So just start. If I never stated what you want to come to life, I’m sorry. I have faith that you will find a way, even if it may look as if there is no way. Speak your wants into existence EVERYDAY. It’ll work... I’m a prime example. I may not have everything together quite yet, but I’m starting to tap into traits I never knew I had. I’m becoming stronger mentally every day and going after what I want even though I may not know what’s on the other side. (you’ll never know unless you try). You’re not crazy, psycho or weird for having these thoughts or feelings coming from within. Do what makes you happy and block out all the other unnecessary inputs of what other people believe you should do. This is YOUR life, not anyone else’s. (Not your parents, friends, cousins, colleagues, co-workers, etc.). I can’t stress this enough. Nothing is ever a coincidence. You’re here right now... in this life for a purpose. Don’t stay at a job you don’t give two sh**’s about if you know for a fact you’re meant to be a scientist, archaeologists, poet, physical fitness trainer, world traveler, chef, whatever it may be. You can do it!!! I’m not one to show affection quite well, but I’m trying to change that. I hope you sense my natural presence as I’m writing this because I want you to feel important, like your worth it, like you can accomplish anything… because duh, you can!
You may feel tired physically, mentally, emotionally. Can I say this, don’t think, just be. You may be thinking wth is she talking about? Go for a walk, try yoga(I’m going to do this), volunteer at a nursing home and put a smile on someone’s face, call a friend up that you’ve been thinking about, forgive someone who hurt you, forgive yourself, catch up on that new series you’ve been dying to watch or laugh. You know what they say about laughing? It’s the best coping mechanism. I truly hope you get something out of the post. Your time to shine is coming!
See ya soon babes!
