Do you ever just feel weak sometimes? Like you’re “here,” but have no motivation to do anything? (That’s real. That’s me!) We wake up, go to work, school, or whatever obligation that steals us of our 8 or 4 or 5 hours of the day. We’re essentially mind-warped into society, working to survive. What kind of life is that? Not a life for me. Not a life I want to live. I say every day, “I will beat the system” and one day I will. We do our best showing up to work, school, etc when we really wish we could be on an island in the South Pacific or dedicating our time and efforts to our goals, dreams, and aspirations or more realistically, BED! Lol. (That’s me at the moment. Is this you?)
I try my best to keep a positive mindset and attitude when I wake up and drive to work. I’ll play my favorite tune in the car and even talk with God, thanking him for the tough times, because ultimately everything is temporary. The moment you’re in is temporary, and this too shall pass. The tough times are allowing you to grow. It’s all going to work in your favor. It may not happen how you want it, but eventually, you will start seeing signs; watch out for them. But in the midst of your dreams taking too long or whatever you wish for that seems unrealistic, keep in mind all the efforts you put into it already and why you started in the first place. Yeah, I know. Sometimes it’s easier said than done. You feel sluggish like life’s thrown you a bad curveball so why be chirpy when I feel like it’s all over for me? I realized that during the times when you’re struggling, barely getting by is the most critical. (Be your best, because someone is always watching). Try to find what works for you. (Quoted by my co-worker, Sam). For me, I like blogging, beats and an occasional photo-sesh of whatever I’m recreating in my mind. Usually during the slow times at work, I’ll plot my next topic writing down ideas that are very intimate to me or how I’m feeling in that specific moment of time and want to share. With creating beats, I really have to be in the mood because it doesn’t come easy… but practice does make perfect! When it comes to photography, I like to play around with my iPhone 7 capturing the beauty in anything my eyes flicker towards. (I definitely need to purchase a Canon because what’s an iPhone 7 to a Canon? Nothing!) Now back to you! I don’t know what’s going on in your life or what it is you truly want so bad. But keep working hard and dedicating your time to it. Things may pop off for you next week, or maybe next month or even next year. It could be five years. But don’t let the motions of life cause you to settle, my friend. You would be providing a disservice to the world by not showcasing your talents. No matter what happens, keep striving. Keep pursuing what it is that you want to do! In time you will reach your God-given destiny!
